Grant Park in Forres is the home of the Soccer 7's (Forres Area) Club.
...Welcome to our Web Site...
Forres landmarks that make our town such a popular attraction for visitors...
The Forres Area Soccer Sevens is open to children between the ages of 8 and 16 years regardless of their footballing ability.

The club started in 1993 with a one day tournament which had about 40 youngsters taking part.   We now have approximately 320 children and 60 adults involved in sevens football from Forres and the surrounding areas.

The club is split into three different age groups.   Juniors (8, 9 and 10 year olds) take part in trophy free football and this group consists of 14 teams.   They play friendly games every Sunday afternoon.   Intermediates (11, 12 and 13 year olds) play in league and cup tournaments for trophies and medals, this group has 15 teams involved.   Seniors (14, 15 and 16 year olds) also play in league and cup tournaments for trophies and medals, this group has 7 teams.   All teams are sponsored by local businesses and the team is named after that business.   Forres Soccer Sevens would like to take this opportunity to thank all the sponsors for their valued support

We have a development partnership with Ross County Football Club and several of Soccer 7'splayers have been signed to play for them.

We also have a girls squad called Forres Flamingos.
All girls in Soccer 7's can train with this
squad.

We regularly hold tournaments and invite teams from other clubs to take part.   We also hold an annual adult tournament during the month of June, usually about 20 adult teams take part at a cost of £50 per team.   This is a great day and fun is usually had by all.

We are also linked with FASDA (Forres Area Soccer Development Association) which provides soccer development for children that are too young to take part in Soccer Sevens.   This is a ten week course and is open to any child in Primaries 1, 2, 3, and 4.   Coaches from the sevens help with this course.   This year will see the second session of the little kickers programme within FASDA for 3-5 year olds.

All our coaching volunteers are qualified in SFA Early Touches and some go on to complete further coaching qualifications.   Every year we hold the SFA Early Touches course for new volunteers.

We take child protection very seriously and all our volunteers must complete a disclosure Scotland check.   The club also has its own child and coach protection policy and a child protection co-ordinator.

This year we will see, in partnership with Grant Park Bowling Club, the start of THE GRANT PARK PAVILION.   This will mean that we will soon have access to a facility we have needed for many years.   This project/pavilion will cost nearly £500,000.

To survive, we are always looking for volunteers to coach and or assist our/your children, and if anyone out there is interested then please contact our club Secretary.   We also have vacancies on teams for children wishing to take part and anyone interested should contact our Secretary.   Please see our joining and contact information page for details.
